From the few historical records preserved from memory, following the destruction the Monastery suffered at the hands of the Turks in 1821, the Church of Agios Nikolaos is mentioned as the boundary of the original property dating back to the founders Lavrentios and Ieremias (late 16th – early 17th century).
The original form of the church included the small single-room vaulted section, while the narthex was constructed around the mid-19th century.
